The European University Viadrina Frankfurt (Oder) is the most eastern foundation university of Germany. It was founded in July 1991. The university offers business administration and economics, law and cultural studies. In the winter semester of 2011/2012 approx. 6.500 students were enrolled at the university.

The canteens and cafeterias offer a varying and diverse range of dishes.

The USC Viadrina e.V. is a registered sports club of the city Frankfurt (Oder). That means, that the access to the university sport courses is not only permitted to the students and staff of the university, but also to interested citizens. The university sport offers numerous sport activities such as fitness (incl.sauna), archery, grappling or volleyball.
