Rostock University for Music and Drama was founded in 1994. Today, 550 students from 42 nations are studying at the hmt. As a member of the Association of Baltic Academies of Music the hmt is able to provide art projects and exchange programmes. Generally, the hmt offers young people an in-depth education in music, music pedagogy, musicology, as well as in the performing and fine arts. Teaching takes place in an individual or group context and includes collaborative performances of music and acting on stage.
