The state-owned Bremen University of Applied Sciences was officially founded in 1982, but the history of the university dates back to the year 1799. The approx. 7,900 students of the university are spread among four locations of the university. The five faculties of the university offer 70, mainly internationalized, courses of studies.

The Bremen University of Applied Sciences has locations at the Neustadtswall 30, in the Werderstraße 73 and the Flughafenallee 10 as well as in the Süderstraße 2.

The student represenatives are defending the interests of students on the university level. They are the voice of the students in talks with the university administration or the public. In addition to political and social issues the representation deals with cultural matters.
