The history of the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences began in 1878, when the "Großherzogliche Badische Baugewerkschule" (the grand duchy of Baden College of Building) was founded. Over the last decade, the name has been changed several times and finally named the Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences. The university offers a wide range of degree programmes allocated on six faculties.
