With its 290 professors and 19.000 enrolled students the University of Bremen is a medium-sized university with a wide range of courses offered. The university offers more than 100 courses of studies from 30 scientific disciplines. The University of Bremen was one of the first pioneers who implemented the Bologna-agenda. This "pioneer work" has been honored by the German Rectors Conference by officially announcing the university as a "Bologna-University".
